Classis Cascades

The Classis of Cascades is an affiliation of congregations located along the Lewis and Clark Trail in the Pacific Northwest. We are member churches of the Reformed Church in America, an historic Christian denomination belonging to the worldwide family of Reformed and Presbyterian Churches. The RCA has ministered in the United States since the early 1600s, making it is one of the oldest continuous protestant denominations on the North American continent.
Within the RCA, we are part of the Regional Synod of the Far West.

The Reformed Church in America is a fellowship of congregations called by God and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be the very presence of Jesus Christ in the world. Our shared task is to equip congregations for ministry -- a thousand churches in a million ways doing one thing -- following Christ in mission, in a lost and broken world so loved by God.

Our Purpose . . .
The purpose of Classis Cascades is to minister to the total life of all people within its geographic bounds by providing vision, leadership and ecclesiastical superintendence of its member churches and enrolled ministers in a manner that reflects loyalty to the Lord Jesus Christ and to the governing principles of the Reformed Church in America, enabling them to develop new and to revitalize existing churches as they preach, teach and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to the Glory of God and building up the
Body of Christ.
